During September 2022 I`m working in Serlachius residency Mänttä. The Serlachius Residency is a guest studio, maintained by Gösta Serlachius Fine Arts Foundation, for professionals of the creative sector working in the visual arts. The Serlachius Residency was established in 2015 in cooperation with the Mänttä Art Festival. Opening 13.7.2022

This year, Porin kulttuurisäätö’s site-specific, process-based Pori Biennale 2022 takes place in Eastern Helsinki and explores the unique environments of Meri-Rastila – Kallahti area from architecture to nature. The theme, Visitors, refers to us – artists, curators, and artworks – as visitors in the area, but also to different visitors from human to nonhuman leaving traces and passing messages. The different historical layers – the protected nature in Kallahti peak as well as the non-protected neighborhood and housing blocks in Meri-Rastila – demonstrate ideologies and values that shape the fragile existence of the area and its residents. The Visitors explores alternative perspectives on how social and power structures manifest themselves in our surroundings, and how all living beings, in the end, are merely visiting.

Maalaustaiteen myyntinäyttely Taidemaalariliiton Teosvälitys järjestetään jälleen verkossa ja Kaapelitehtaalla. Entistäkin kattavammassa valikoimassa on tarjolla 2600 teosta 700 taiteilijalta. Teoksista 1200 tulee esille maaliskuussa Kaapelitehtaalle ja 1400 on verkkomyynnissä.

Teosvälitys käynnistyy 18.2. verkossa osoitteessa teosvalitys.painters.fi. Verkossa voi kymmenen päivää kestävän ennakkomyynnin aikana tehdä teoksista varauksia ja teoksia voi myös ostaa kotiinkuljetuksella. Varatut teokset voi nähdä Kaapelitehtaalla ennen ostopäätöksen tekemistä. Verkkokaupassa sopivaa teosta etsivän apuna on lukuisia suodattimia. Teoksia voi selata mm. tyylin, tekniikan ja värin perusteella. Valtaosa teoksista on verkossa myynnissä 18.4. asti.

Maaliskuussa Teosvälityksen myyntinäyttely Kaapelitehtaalla täyttää yhdeksän päivän ajaksi Merikaapelihallin 3148 neliömetriä maalaustaiteella. Näyttely avaa ovensa yleisölle lauantaina 12.3., ja teoksiin voi tutustua ilman pääsymaksua sunnuntaihin 20.3 asti.

1970-luvulta lähtien vuosittain järjestetty Teosvälitys on saanut alkunsa Valtion taideteostoimikunnan ja muiden kokoelmien teoshankintatilaisuutena. Yksityisasiakkaita Teosvälitys on palvellut vuodesta 1987. Kaapelitehtaalla tilaisuus on järjestetty 90-luvun alusta lähtien.

3.12.2021-3.4.2022 DUNKERS KULTURHUS / Helsingborg

Nordisk Salong is a collaboration between Helsingborgs konstförening and Dunkers kulturhus. The idea is to show the audience the broad contemporary art in the Nordic countries.

Works have been submitted in ten categories: painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, film, photography, graphics, installation, performance and mixed technique. The application is now closed and almost 2400 applications have been received, which is about 1000 more than last time in 2017.

The jury of 2021 consists of:
Pontus Kyander (Finland), Helene Nyborg Bay (Denmark), Svein Ingvoll Pedersen (Norway), Kristín Dagmar Jóhannesdóttir (Iceland)

Nordisk Salong in Helsingborg opens on 3 December 2021 and runs until  3 April 2022.

SUPERMARKET – Stockholm Independent Art Fair is an international art fair for artist-run initiatives. Supermarket is dedicated to exhibiting artist-run spaces, artists’ collectives, nomadic spaces and independent artists’ initiatives of all shapes and from around the world. The key aim is to display unique projects, create opportunities for new local and international networks and share the strengths of the independent art world with a large audience. The art fair exhibition is accompanied by the public Talks and Performance programme with invited performance artists and speakers from Sweden and abroad. Supermarket takes place annually in Stockholm, Sweden.

Supermarket has been arranged in Stockholm since 2007 by a small group of organisers most of whom are artists themselves. Supermarket is a development of Minimarket, which was held in Konstnärshuset (The Artists’ House) in February 2006 in reaction to the new commercial art fair Market. Over the years the project has rapidly evolved from exhibiting a modest group of local initiatives to a full-fledged international art exhibition that firmly established Stockholm on the art world map.

In Supermarket Art Fair 2021 tm•gallery will present four contemporary visual artists. The artists are: Matilda Enegren (b. 1989) Kaija Hinkula (b. 1984) Arto Korhonen (b. 1963) Joel Slotte (b. 1987) .
